Privacy Policy

The short version
We collect what you type into our forms, on this site or in our Facebook and Instagram ads, and what you send us by email, text, or phone, so we can reply to you. If we think we could help your business, we may also email you once or twice, using a contact address your business has published. We don't sell your information, rent it, or add you to a newsletter. If you want it deleted, or you don't want our emails, tell us and we'll stop and delete it.
We also use Meta's pixel to see which of our ads lead to a message. You can turn that off.
What we collect
- Form submissions. Your name, email, and anything else you choose to enter: phone, business name, website, trade, team size, preferred call times, the services in your package, and your message.
- Email, texts, and calls. What you send us by email or text, your number if you call or text, and our notes from a call or an exchange of messages.
- Payments. If you pay a deposit or an invoice, Stripe takes the payment on its own page. Your card details go to Stripe and never reach us. We receive your name, email, the amount, and whether the payment went through.
- Forms inside Facebook and Instagram. Some of our ads open a form inside Facebook or Instagram (a Meta lead form). If you fill one out, Meta collects what you enter there, such as your name, email, phone, business name, website, and type of business, and passes it to us so we can reply.
- Where you came from. If you arrive from one of our ads or posts, or from another website, this site notes the ad or post tags in the link, the page you landed on, and the site that sent you. That note stays in your browser for 30 days. It reaches us only if you send a form, so we can tell which ad or post worked.
- Browser storage. This site saves your theme choice (light or dark), your package selections, the note above, and your ad measurement choice in your own browser's local storage. That data stays on your device and is never sent to us unless you submit a form.
- Business contact details from public sources. To find businesses we might help, we look at what they have published: a business name, website, Google listing or Nextdoor page, and a business contact email or phone number. If we email a business, we keep the address, what we sent, and any reply, and we keep a do-not-contact record if you ask us to stop.
- Server logs. The hosting provider (Cloudflare) automatically processes basic request data such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested, for security and to keep the site running. Cloudflare may also run a short check in your browser to tell people from bots.
- Visit counts. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views and how fast pages load, using a small script from Cloudflare. It doesn't set cookies or follow you to other sites, and we only see totals, not individual visitors.
- Search engines. We use Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools to see how this site appears in search results and to submit our sitemap. They work from what Google and Bing find when they visit the site, not from a script running in your browser, and they don't tell us who you are.
Ad measurement
This site loads Meta's pixel, a script from Meta (the company behind Facebook and Instagram). It tells Meta which pages you viewed here and whether you sent a form, so we can see which of our ads led to a message and show our ads to people more likely to want them. Meta's script sets cookies in your browser to do this, and Meta uses the data under its own privacy policy. We don't send Meta what you type into the forms on this site.
Your choices
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, the Meta pixel doesn't load. You can also switch it off here, for this browser:
Checking this browser's setting.
Meta's own ad settings, in your Facebook or Instagram account, let you limit ads based on other sites.
How we use it
- To reply to you, prepare your free audit, schedule a call, or send a quote.
- To send a short, personal email to a business we think we could help, and to remember who asked us not to.
- To see which ads and posts bring in messages, so we can stop paying for the ones that don't.
- To keep records of client work if you become a client.
Who else sees it
Form submissions on this site are delivered through Formspree, a form service that forwards them to our email and keeps a copy in our Formspree account. A copy is also saved in our own private lead records, which Cloudflare hosts. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, our email runs on Google Workspace, Brevo sends the emails we write to leads and prospects and passes replies back to us, and Stripe takes payments. Each processes data on our behalf under its own privacy terms. If you use a Meta lead form, Meta keeps a copy of what you entered under Meta's privacy policy, and the same goes for what the Meta pixel collects. We don't share your information with anyone else unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Inquiries, and businesses we emailed that never replied, are deleted within 24 months. The one thing we keep longer is a do-not-contact record for anyone who asked us to stop, so we don't email you again. Client records are kept as long as needed for the work and for tax and legal requirements. The note in your browser about where you came from expires after 30 days.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, or delete the information we have about you at any time. Every email we send to a business we haven't worked with has a link and a reply address to tell us to stop. California residents have these rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, and we extend them to everyone. We don't sell personal information. Using Meta's pixel to measure and show ads may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. You can opt out of it with the switch above or with Global Privacy Control, which this site honors.
Children
This site is for businesses and isn't directed at anyone under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
